This module provides a nice and concise foundation for understanding what goes into forecasting winter precipitation.

Very well developed and sctructured module integrating particularly useful and pertinent animated conceptual models with literature review findings. Examples of operationally applicable tools were also very much appreciated (i.e. color-coding of infrared satellite imagery in order to distinguish between warm and cold clouds, top-down charts, etc...). The module was globally excellent. Perhaps adding audio might embelish it even more, provided the voice chosen is not too monotonic. Anyone looking for a nice rounded and global treatment of precipitation type forecasting should not be disappointed.

Reasonably good module providing an overview of the physical processes and basic operational applications of ptype forecasting. It could use a few more operational examples or a case study to really make it complete. I concur with the previous review that the 15-30 min estimate for completion is a bit too short, 30 - 45 mins would perhaps be more realistic. (Closer to an hour if you complete the quiz.)

This module is good for the student with a basic understanding of cloud formation and winter weather who wishes to take the next step further into their curriculum. I'd recommend this to any sophomore level MET student who's completed at least General Meteorology 1 and 2. That said, it was not exactly the most entertaining module, and it took significantly longer than the estimated 30 minutes. If in a concentrated, productive environment this module should take at least an hour to an hour and half.
