    • Describe three types of flood map products (VIIRS, ABI, Merged)
  • Interpret imagery used for analyzing and forecasting surface flooding
    • Use Hurricane Harvey case to interpret important flood features
    • Address discrepancies and limitations
  • Identify users of these data and summarize the benefits of satellite-based inundation
    • Enhance analyses, forecasts, and forecast verification
    • Support NOAA River Forecast Centers
    • Support partnering agencies (FEMA and WMO) and potential partners (USACE, USDA, USAID)
    • Support research and development (including model verification)
