The quiz is not hard but you have a lot of useful and relevant extra information. So there is like two levels in this lesson, easy mode is only to pass the quiz and the hard mode is to try to do all the exercises through the lesson correctly 2018-07-09 02:08:14

This course is very useful.

not easy

This is a very important and valuable lesson discussing resolution, uncertainties, and errors. It is difficult material and it's an advance to greater depth of discussion than most MetEd lessons. However, the difficulty is increased by incomplete information in some exercises and incomplete explanations of some of the answers there. Also, the appendices are terse and could be improved by leading the reader more slowly through the topics.

I was anxious to take a course sequence in instrumentation for atmospheric sciences but the sequence has, so far, been disappointing. Some definitions are ambiguous; some questions can only be answered by memorizing (and accepting uncritically) material. Some of the physics is incorrect. I've included more specific remarks tagged by section:Instrument performance characteristics Precision and resolution Resolution definition
