Excellent! I have been hearing about Himawari and seen some of her images. This short module provided this non-meteologist with a good overview.

This is a good basic course to get people familiar with the AHI and it's differences from the ABI. That part of the world tends to be unknown to many people, so I'm glad this is out there. One thing I wanted to mention is that the bands on the ABI as listed in this module are what the spec called for, however they are not exactly what was built. For example, Channel 9 is actually 7.0 um and not 6.95. Also, Channel 10 is 7.4 um and not 7.34 um. Channel 11 is 8.4 um and not 8.5 um, and Channel 13 is 10.33 um and not 10.35 um. It's a minor issue, but with the introduction of all of these new channels, I think it's important that we are all on the same page.
