We combine the two visible channels and the 1.6 µm near-infrared channel to produce the color composite shown here. In this image the snow cover on the ground has whitish/cyan coloration. Low clouds over the snow appear yellow. Thus, we can easily distinguish what is low cloud from snow on the ground (in northwestern Iran). Notice that we can also see dust streaming into the northern portion of the Persian Gulf.
