The Lifted Condensation Level is the height to which a surface-based parcel must rise in order to reach condensation.

This is determined from surface data using a skew-T diagram. The LCL is located at the intersection of

1. the dry adiabat defined by the temperature ()and
2. the constant mixing ratio line defined by the dewpoint ().
