CCTAF and MakeTAF

Developed by Andrew Rorke and Ray Tanabe at the Los Angeles/Oxnard forecast office, CCTAF is a conditional climatology program is discussed in detail in the third section of the DLAC 1 module, Lesson 2c: Assessing Climatology in Fog/Stratus Forecasting. The same people have also developed MakeTAF to assimilate a great deal of data in a short time and rapidly create a TAF.

NWS employees can download the programs from the Local Application Database site. Select "Search for an Application" in the menu and type in "CCTAF" or "MakeTAF."
