Great information so far. For some of my presentations I have needed to show the entire 'desktop' along with the 'open/active' window. Windows XXX you can press the "PrtScr" button on the keyboard. This places the screen capture onto the clipboard, which can then be pasted into ANY active windows based application.
I have been able to use this method for capturing DOS applications as well. Make the DOS application run in a 'window' and then PrtScr. Works everytime.
