What is teletraining?
Teletraining is a way to participate in live training sessions over the Internet. Presentation slides are downloaded by participants before the session begins, allowing those with low-bandwidth connections to participate. A conference phone call or Internet audio connection between the instructor and the participants provides two-way audio interaction. The instructor selects slides with data, graphics, and animated loops, and can then annotate, loop, enhance, or fade between them. Participants can also annotate slides. These interactive components make teletraining a popular and effective tool for training and communication involving several sites simultaneously. In addition to the live scheduled teletraining sessions, archived sessions and session slides are available for use with either the VISITview software or a standard Web browser.
