Welcome

This course is a collaborative effort between the MSC and the COMET^® Program. Through discussions with the STT's and other folks involved in the MSC/COMET partnership, it was decided to begin making more of COMET's distance learning available to MSC forecasters in a more formal venue.

As you participate in the course, please be sure to let us know how things are going. There is an e-mail link at the bottom of each page. Please use it if you are experiencing any problems. Most online modules have a user survey; please take the time to fill these out as you complete each module. In addition, there is a course bulletin board where you can have discussions with other course participants regarding regional implications of the material in the modules and to ask questions regarding the logisitics of the course. Your feedback is appreciated and will help make this a better course for all participants.

Course Overview

The course consists of a series of online modules. There is a set of core modules used by each region in the MSC and a selection of hand-picked items more specific to your regional setting.

Your regional course website has the list of modules and an accompanying bulletin board for posting questions regarding the module content.

Some regions may be holding a culminating workshop session during a Change of Season Workshop.
